We make it our mission to create a healthy, happy kitchen for families everywhere. We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing team.

The Marketing Manager is the strategic pillar between our products, customers and the media. He leads a team of marketing specialists in driving marketing initiatives for Fotile Canada. As a skilled leader, he will drive engagement and interactions across merchandising, marketing and senior leadership and lead the development and execution of multi-channel marketing initiatives across the full suite of digital and traditional media, including key interfaces with our on-line sale.

He’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to develop the annual and seasonal marketing strategies for the portfolio. He’ll ensure the smooth integration of initiatives across all media and production channels (flyer, mass media, in-store, feature planning, online and digital) while developing a team of subject matter experts that effectively leverage consumer, competitive, and category insights, to influence and guide our retail strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate will be responsible for -

  • Building close working relationships with key business/marketing partners to understand and influence business & marketing strategies, priorities, and direction to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Developing strategic annual, seasonal specific and monthly marketing plans for their portfolio utilizing consumer insights, sound marketing strategies and business metrics 
  • Developing category/portfolio specific marketing plans 
  • Provide analyses and insights to inform strategy 
  • Conduct ongoing research in the competitor market within the field and advise the company on developments, best practices, and trends 
  • Incorporating consumer research & metrics into upfront planning 
  • Input into annual, seasonal and monthly marketing planning • Developing marketing briefs and leading cross functional partners in the implementation of marketing plans
  • Managing marketing budgets for the portfolio; Ensuring strategies and marketing programs adhere to upfront plans and tracking to budget allocation 
  • Delivering marketing ROI measures for their specific portfolio strategies 
  • Managing and optimizing loyalty programs to increase CLV 
  • Liaising with US and head office counterparts to ensure effective integration and use of resources 
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop ad hoc campaigns that meet business objectives while also supporting marketing strategy 
  • Leading additional projects for marketing team as required

Job Requirements:

  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+ Meets Expectations)
  • Undergraduate degree (BA or BS) in a relevant Discipline or a combination of education and experience with a proven record of achievement and accomplishment preferred 
  • 5 years of progressively senior experience in marketing in a corporate environment 
  • Retail experience is an asset
  • Teamwork, strong positive attitude and ability to quickly build strong relationships
  • Ability to challenge and negotiate with partners where required while maintaining positive relationships
  • Strong marketing acumen with experience building brands with an ROI focus 
  • Must be able to work within a dynamic environment and balance multiple priorities
  • Fluent and proficient in both Mandarin Chinese and English Required. Cantonese/French is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to accomplish multiple tasks while sticking to deadlines 
  • Team player with great passion for learning and desire to go above and beyond 
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to work schedule
